T2 Membership Discounts

Your T2 membership fee is made up of a Base Fee, less any discounts you qualify for. The Base Fee is determined by resolution of the T2 Executive and may be reviewed from time to time. The Discount Base is calculated as 22% of the Base Fee, rounded to the nearest R50. Example:
Base Fee = R1,100
22% = R242 → Discount Base = R250

1. New Membership Applications & Membership Renewals

The following discounts are available when applying for new membership or renewing membership.

A. General Member Discounts

Each qualifying condition gives one Discount Base discount.

Under 13	−1 × Discount Base

These discounts may be combined. Example: A female member aged 12 qualifies for all three discounts.

B. Qualifications & Contributions

Police Clearance Certificate not older than 5 years	−R100
Each recognised umpire qualification	−R100
Each recognised ITTF coaching qualification	−R100
Elected Executive member in the previous year	−R100
Elected Chairperson in the previous year	−R200 total
Elected Venue Committee member	−R25 per quarter
Elected Venue Committee Lead	−R50 per quarter

Recognised umpire and coaching qualifications include the applicable SATTB and ITTF umpire/coaching certifications recognised by T2. Service discounts only apply where the member was duly elected. Serving in a position without having been elected does not qualify for the discount.

C. Referral Discount

Active members receive a referral discount equal to: 10% of the membership fee paid by the member they referred.

D. T2S League Performance

Active members can earn discounts based on their performance in the previous year's T2S League.

League points also convert into a membership discount:

E. T2 Shop Rewards

T2S League points can also earn T2 Shop vouchers, separately from membership discounts:

2. Early-Bird Membership Renewal Discounts

These discounts apply only to membership renewals. To qualify, the member must: Settle all membership fees in full within the first 30 days of the new financial year — by 30 December. Payment arrangements, promises to pay or outstanding balances do not qualify.

A. Early-Bird Status Discounts

Unemployed pensioner over 60	−R100
Unemployed pensioner over 70	−R100

These discounts may be combined. For example, an unemployed pensioner over 70 qualifies for both the over-60 and over-70 discounts.

B. Attendance Discounts

Your participation during the previous year can also reduce your renewal fee.

The applicable discount is multiplied by the number of qualifying sessions and official meetings attended during the previous year.
